Jana International School ("we", "us", "our", or "the School") operates the mobile applications Jana International School (for students and parents) and Jana International School – Teacher (for staff and teachers) (collectively, the "Apps"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Apps.

By installing or using the Apps you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Apps.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

The Apps are provided exclusively to enrolled students, their parents/guardians, and authorized staff of Jana International School. Accounts are issued by the School; the Apps are not open to general public registration.

Where a user is a minor (under 18), the account is created and controlled by the School in cooperation with the parent or legal guardian, and the parent/guardian consents to this Policy on the minor's behalf.

We do not collect advertising identifiers. The Apps do not show third-party advertising.

Permissions are requested at the point of use and can be revoked at any time from the device settings.

  1. Authenticate users and provide access to school records.
  2. Deliver core academic features: attendance, timetable, homework, exams, fees, transport, library, study materials.
  3. Send push notifications about school activities, results, fees, and announcements.
  4. Allow communication between teachers, students, and parents.
  5. Maintain security: detect misuse, prevent unauthorized access, audit logs.
  6. Improve the Apps: fix crashes, analyse usage patterns in aggregate, plan new features.
  7. Comply with applicable laws and lawful requests from authorities.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not use personal data for advertising or for training third-party AI models.

We do not share personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or social networks for marketing purposes.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as the user is associated with the School, and thereafter as required by applicable education and tax laws. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

A parent/guardian or staff member may request earlier deletion subject to legal record-keeping obligations.

We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), hashed password storage, role-based access control, server-side input validation, and regular security updates. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at the address below.

The Apps are an educational service designed for use by enrolled students under the supervision of the School and the student's parent/guardian. Where a student is a minor:
