These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile applications Jana International School (student/parent) and Jana International School – Teacher (staff) (the "Apps") provided by Jana International School ("the School", "we", "us"). By installing, accessing, or using the Apps you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Apps.
1.1 The Apps are an internal communication and academic-management tool intended only for currently enrolled students, their parents/guardians, and authorized staff of Jana International School.
1.2 Accounts are created and provisioned by the School. You may not create an account using false information or someone else's identity.
1.3 If you are a minor, your account is created with the consent of your parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
1.4 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify the School immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of your account and, where appropriate, disciplinary action by the School or referral to law enforcement.
4.1 You retain ownership of any content you upload (e.g., assignment files, photos, messages). By submitting content you grant the School a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating the Apps and providing educational services.
4.2 You are solely responsible for the content you upload and represent that you have the rights to share it.
4.3 The School may remove any content that violates these Terms, school policy, or applicable law, without prior notice.
The Apps, their source code, design, logos, trademarks, text, graphics, and all other materials are owned by the School or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Apps for the purposes described in these Terms. No other rights are granted.
By using the Apps you agree to receive push notifications related to school activities — attendance, homework, exams, fees, transport, leaves, and announcements. You may disable notifications from your device settings, but doing so may cause you to miss important school information.
If the Apps display fee information or facilitate fee payments, the underlying transactions are processed by the School's authorized payment partners and governed by their respective terms. The School is not responsible for issues arising solely from the payment processor (e.g., gateway downtime).
8.1 We aim to keep the Apps available but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation. Maintenance, upgrades, or factors beyond our control may cause temporary unavailability.
8.2 We may issue updates that add, modify, or remove features. You are expected to use the latest supported version; older versions may be deprecated for security reasons.
Your use of the Apps is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10.1 The School may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if your association with the School ends (graduation, transfer, resignation), or where required by law.
10.2 On termination, your right to use the Apps ends immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
The Apps are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the School disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. The School does not warrant that academic data displayed in the Apps is free from clerical or technical error; official school records remain the authoritative source.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the School, its employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of the Apps. The School's total liability for any claim relating to the Apps will not exceed the amount (if any) paid by you to the School for use of the Apps in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the School and its personnel from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your misuse of the Apps, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your infringement of any third-party right.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Medinipur, West Bengal.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Apps or by email. The "Last Updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Apps after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
